Minister Abdi Houssein receives Mr. Musa Gassama Yerro

On a working visit in Djibouti since last Tuesday, the representative of the High Commissioner for Human Rights with the African Union and the Commonwealth African states, Mr Musa Gassama Yerro, was received on Wednesday September 21st, by the Minister of Culture and Communications in charge of Posts and Telecommunications and Government Spokesperson, Abdi Ahmed Houssein.

Both men stressed the importance of all acquisition and capacity building of journalists from print media and broadcasting on human rights.

Considering more collaboration needed, both parties found it useful to deepen their relations in this area and aim to give greater visibility in all communicative actions as part of the promotion of human rights, both in government institutions as civil rights.

The strategy is aggressive communication, to better enhance the image of Djibouti in regional and international levels, summarized the Minister of Culture and Communication, Abdi Ahmed Houssein.

Mr. Musa Gassama Yerro said there will be a series of activities as part of the celebration of International Human Rights Day in the month of December.

Attending this visit was the Minister and the regional representative of the High Commission for Human Rights, Mr. Aref Mohamed, and the Director of the RTD, Dr. Kadar Ali Diraneh and Mr. Adil Ahmed Youssouf of the cabinet department.
