Djibouti Academy football Campaign:
Launched Selection of the first class

As part of the fifth start of the FIFA Goal Project, the Djibouti Federation of Football (FDF), will carry from September 25th, the launching a campaign to identify talent. At the end of this operation to be conducted throughout the country, the best young players selected will be admitted to the Football Academy of Djibouti.
-----------------
This campaign is to detect, in primary schools in the country, the talented young footballers aged 12 to 13 that will compete until April 25th, 2012. Together with the Sports Ministry of Education, the national technical direction of FDF has launched a project that is close to our hearts.
As stated by the Secretary General of the federation, there have always been campaigns of detections at the national level that never led to anything concrete, adding that today with the fifth goal and project funding that goes with it, we will launch the National Football Academy that will host the thirty young talents from the country.
The first thirty selected from the campaign of will be trained for 2 years. This campaign will be led by three members of the national technical direction including instructors from FIFA and CAF.
A FIFA instructor will come to Djibouti in October to train the trainer’s for the championship D2 and D3 and supervise at the same time this important selection.
The Secretary General of the FDF, for which the project is a priority, in many respects has recognized the need to make this happen. For him and other leaders of the FDF, after receiving the necessary funding for the construction of an infrastructure for indoor football in Djibouti, we are immediately passed to the 5th Goal project that focuses on human formation.
The 4th Goal Project has allowed the FDF to have the necessary funding for the construction of a gymnasium with international standards for indoor football.
“The project was successful”, said Mr. Kamil Ali, and added that the launch of the construction of the gym within the National Technical Centre is only a matter of days away”.
